Hanoi Tourism Continuously Recognized as the “Top Asian City Destination”

At the 31st World Travel Awards (WTA) Asia & Oceania region ceremony held in Manila, Philippines on September 3, 2024, Hanoi, along with many other outstanding destinations and organizations, was honored with several awards for 2024.

This is the third time Hanoi has been recognized in the category of “Asia’s Leading City Destination” (in 2022, 2023, and 2024), demonstrating Hanoi’s position as a top travel destination in Asia and highlighting the city’s strong rise on the regional map.

At the same time, it is the second consecutive win in the category of “Asia’s Leading City Break Destination” (in 2023 and 2024), affirming Hanoi’s appeal to both domestic and international travelers, especially those seeking short but rich and memorable getaways.

Notably, 2024 marks Hanoi’s first win in the category of “Vietnam’s Leading City Cultural Destination,” acknowledging the city’s cultural, historical, and traditional values – where numerous tangible and intangible cultural heritage sites are preserved and developed over centuries.

With more than 1,000 years of history, Hanoi brings together the essence of Vietnamese culture, making it an ideal destination for travelers interested in exploring history and culture.

Beyond its rich heritage, Hanoi stands out for the continuous development of its tourism infrastructure, services, and high-quality travel products, catering to the diverse needs of both domestic and international visitors.

This event also marks Hanoi’s pioneering role in promoting sustainable tourism development and its ongoing efforts to preserve heritage values, while advancing cultural and tourism activities linked to modern development. The city is aiming to become a global destination and attract even more visitors from around the world.
